Microsoft Hyper-V lets you run several virtual servers on the same hardware. This lowers costs, speeds up the provisioning of new systems and makes testing considerably easier – but it requires resources, networks and storage to be properly planned.
In our Hyper-V courses you set up a virtualisation environment hands-on. You create and manage virtual machines, configure virtual switches and storage, work with checkpoints and live migration, and deal with clustering and high availability as well as backup and recovery in the event of failure.
This course builds on the fundamentals of Windows Server administration and covers the services that support larger, distributed environments. You plan Active Directory across multiple sites, harden Kerberos, LDAP and NTLM, build a PKI with AD CS, deploy file services with DFS, Storage Replica and SMB over QUIC, and run roles highly available in a failover cluster. Finally, you connect your on-premises infrastructure to the cloud via Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Arc.

You configure virtual machines, storage and networking, use GPU partitioning and dynamic processor compatibility, and safeguard operations with live migration, Hyper-V Replica and backup. The exercises use Hyper-V Manager, PowerShell and Windows Admin Center.
This course teaches the fundamentals of installing and operating Windows Server 2025 in a corporate network. You set up Server Core and Server with Desktop Experience, manage them with Windows Admin Center and PowerShell, build an Active Directory domain with DNS, DHCP and Group Policy, and deploy file services. Along the way, you get to know the new security defaults in Windows Server 2025, such as default SMB signing and Credential Guard.
