LPIC-1: Linux Administrator (101-500 and 102-500)

The aim of the LPIC certification is to let Linux administrators demonstrate both their practical and theoretical Linux knowledge. Besides thorough preparation of the exam material, independently gained experience and practice working with Linux is therefore an important ingredient for LPIC success.

LPIC-1 is the first certification in LPI’s multi-level Linux Professional certification programme. LPIC-1 verifies a candidate’s ability to perform maintenance tasks on the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux, and configure basic networking.

LPIC-1 was designed to reflect current research findings and validate a candidate’s skills in real-world system administration. The objectives are tied to real job skills, which we determine during exam development through a job task analysis.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this certification

Requirement: Passing exams 101 and 102

Validity period: 5 years

Exam fees are CHF 220 per exam and are not included in the course price.
