Our SQL Server courses
Databases rarely attract attention as long as they are running. Only when queries slow down, a restore is needed or a report does not deliver what someone expected does it become clear how solid the fundamentals are. Our SQL courses are aimed at both sides: administrators who are accountable for availability, backup and performance, and specialists from controlling, reporting or development who want to analyse data themselves.
“SQL Fundamentals and Queries with T-SQL” teaches the query language from the ground up, while “Microsoft SQL Server 2022 – Administration” covers installation, backup, maintenance and security. If you are moving towards the cloud and analytics, DP-900, DP-300, DP-600 and DP-700 are the official Microsoft paths to Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric. All courses work with dedicated practice databases so that you can try out queries and changes directly.
DP-900 is the introduction to data in the Azure cloud – in a single day and with no prior knowledge required. You learn what types of data exist, when a relational and when a non-relational solution fits, and how analysis and visualisation come together with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. The course prepares you for the DP-900 exam (certification «Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals»).
Microsoft discontinued course 20461 «Querying SQL Server» without a replacement — the need remained. This course closes that gap: you learn SQL from the ground up and then work confidently with Transact-SQL, the SQL variant used by Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL.
The course is hands-on. From the first hour, you work in your own database environment with realistic datasets — no death by slides, but writing, running, understanding and improving queries.
DP-300 is the administration course for SQL databases in Azure. You plan and run Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server on virtual machines: deployment and migration, security and compliance, performance analysis and optimisation, automation, and high availability and disaster recovery. The course prepares you for the DP-300 exam (certification «Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate»).
DP-600 is the analytics course on Microsoft Fabric – the path from raw data to a robust semantic model that Power BI reports build on. You prepare data, build star schemas, write advanced DAX and optimise models for enterprise use. The course prepares you for the DP-600 exam (certification «Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate»).
Microsoft Fabric brings data engineering, data warehousing, real-time analytics and Power BI together on a single platform. In DP-700 you use it to build a complete data pipeline: set up workspaces and governance, ingest and transform batch and streaming data, and monitor and optimise the result. The course prepares you for the DP-700 exam (certification «Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate»).
The official Microsoft course on SQL Server administration has been discontinued, but the servers keep running — in many Swiss companies, very much at the centre of things. This course teaches the administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2022 in your own data centre, along with the bridges to Azure that Microsoft has since built in.
