Our Visual Studio and .NET courses
Development teams rarely start from a blank slate. Usually the task is to extend an existing application, connect an interface cleanly or make an evolved codebase maintainable again. Our Visual Studio and .NET courses therefore start with the fundamentals of the language and framework and lead from there to web applications, toolchains and extensions for Microsoft products.
The range includes “Programming in C#” (20483), “Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3” (20480) and “Developing ASP.NET MVC 5 Web Applications” (20486), plus an introduction to the .NET Core frameworks. For teams that want to organise their development process, there is Application Lifecycle Management with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server administration. If you extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you will find a dedicated course on extension development with Visual Studio Code.
Gives participants the knowledge and skills to deploy, configure and manage Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2017 and its related software components. Note: from version 2019 onwards the product is called Azure DevOps Server, and the cloud service Visual Studio Team Services is now called Azure DevOps Services.
This two-day course gives developers who are already proficient in C# a solid introduction to .NET Core, which has simply been called .NET since version 5. The course focuses on core components of .NET that are used across many application areas alike: the runtime environment and class libraries, NuGet packages, file I/O and serialisation, delegates and events, memory management, and threading.
Participants use the ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tools in Visual Studio 2017 and Team Foundation Server (Azure DevOps Server since version 2019) or Azure DevOps Services (formerly Visual Studio Team Services) to plan, track, design, develop, test and deploy business value in the form of working software.
