This course gives participants fundamental knowledge of the Purchasing, Sales and Warehouse modules. Using practical examples, participants learn how to approach solutions for different tasks.
The course covers the basic activities required for purchasing, selling and storing items. You get an overview of setting up the modules, the required master data and the processes.
The course covers the following topics:
· Basics of setting up warehouse, sales and purchasing
· Creating and maintaining master data (items, customers, vendors)
· The document-driven purchasing process (inquiry, order, delivery, invoice, complaint, credit memo, payment), including corrections/cancellations
· The document-driven sales process (quote, order, delivery, invoice, complaint, credit memo, payment), including corrections/cancellations
· Creating combined invoices
· Prices and discounts in purchasing
· Prices and discounts in sales, incl. price suggestions
· Setting up and using multiple locations within a company
· Setting up and using transfers to move item quantities between locations
· Setting up and using item tracking functions such as serial number tracking, lot number tracking, warranties and expiration dates
· Monitoring item availability
· Processing item charges and allowances in purchasing and sales
· Using the customer service functions substitute items, item references and catalog items
· Cross-cutting processes such as direct deliveries and special orders
The course combines short theoretical sections in the form of PowerPoint presentations with detailed live demonstrations of application scenarios in the system. There is also ample time for questions and discussions, and participants can gain their own experience in the SCM area through practical exercises.
Please note that this course is run exclusively on the Business Central client (web client).
