In this workshop, you will learn to provision and visualise data from Dynamics 365 Business Central using Power BI.
Various practical scenarios are planned and then implemented step by step.
As the course is mostly carried out on a virtual Azure machine (see course prerequisites), participants can continue practising all topics afterwards.
The following topics are covered in this course:
· Fundamentals of data analysis
· Setting up a virtual Azure machine
· Providing Dynamics NAV / Business Central data in OData format (creating new queries)
· Setting up and using Power BI Desktop (dataset, visualisations, reports and tiles)
· Working with Power BI Online (creating a dashboard and new visualisations)
· Embedded Power BI setup and use (connecting Dynamics NAV via Azure to Power BI Online)
· Creating simple and complex evaluations
The aim of the course is for participants to be able to independently create reports and dashboards by connecting Power BI with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The course combines short theoretical sections in the form of PowerPoint presentations with detailed live demonstrations of application scenarios in the system. Participants are actively involved through many practical examples and exercises.
As courseware, you will receive a handout of the PowerPoint slides.
Please note that this course is delivered exclusively on the Business Central client (web client).
