Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Production

This course explains the Production application area in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central from a user's perspective. The chapters of this course cover the creation and processing of production orders. This includes setting up the module, setting up manufactured items and running production. This enables the user to understand what is being produced, what needs to be produced or purchased, and when this should happen.

The course also covers topics such as capacities, production planning and subcontracting.

This course covers the following topics:

· System setup

· Items, production BOMs and routings

· Capacities (shop calendar, work centre groups, work centres)

· Production orders

· Posting consumption and output journals

· Finishing production orders and automatic posting

· Sales order interface & order planning

· Scheduling sales orders using delivery date promising

· Planning proposals

· Demand forecasting

· Subcontracting with supplied components

· Shop floor utilisation

Please note that this course is delivered exclusively on the Business Central client (web client).

This course is aimed at people responsible for setting up the program in manufacturing companies and training their employees. Participants should have prior knowledge of financial management, a solid understanding of the terminology used in production and of production processes, and be familiar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Warehousing.

It is an absolute prerequisite that the participant has attended the basic courses

· Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Essentials

· Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Finance Management (Part 1: Essentials)

· Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – SCM (Part 1: Essentials)

· Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – SCM (Part 2: Advanced)

or has equivalent knowledge of Dynamics NAV (Navision) / Business Central.

In addition, solid theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of production planning and control is required. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the Production and SCM areas are inseparably intertwined. This is taken into account in the training
