This course is aimed at IT professionals with basic knowledge of computer hardware, software support and development who want to learn how Internet of Things devices and related systems are designed, developed, implemented, operated and managed. It is suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about embedded systems, microcontroller programming, IoT security and the IoT project development life cycle. While participants gain hands-on experience assembling an IoT prototype and using software development tools, these activities are closely guided, so no prior knowledge of electronics assembly or programming is required. This course prepares participants for the CertNexus Certified Internet of Things (IoT) Practitioner exam (Exam ITP-110).
In this course, you will learn how to use Internet of Things technologies to solve practical problems. You will learn:
- Building and programming an IoT device.
- Communicating with an IoT device over wired and wireless connections.
- Processing sensor input and controlling an actuator on an IoT device.
- Managing security, privacy and operational safety risks in IoT projects.
- Planning an IoT prototyping and development project.
